Our accounting and bookkeeping teams perform all aspects of monthly bookkeeping and reporting for our individual and business clients. As our Accounting Practice Manager, Jeff has a high value for quality and an enthusiastic attention to detail in both bookkeeping and report preparation.  

After graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara, Jeff began his career as an educator, teaching physics and mathematics for two years as a Peace Corps volunteer then teaching accounting and business software for ten years in Oakland. He made the transition from education to accounting consulting in 2004 when he joined the InConcert Financial Group® team.  

A natural teacher and a certified QuickBooks® ProAdvisor, Jeff regularly puts his education background to work by instructing clients how to improve their bookkeeping skills. He’s passionate about helping clients better understand what goes into their reports so they can make better personal or business financial decisions.

Associate Tax Consultant, Enrolled Agent, and Notary Public of the State of California, Elspeth Campbell brings patience, diligence, and meticulous attention to detail to our integrated tax, accounting, and bookkeeping team. She prepares and reviews tax returns and extensions alongside Tax Services Manager Alan Steeples, CPA.  

Elspeth puts a financial acumen garnered from the intricacies of high-volume construction management administration to work for you by making sure she fully understands your unique tax and bookkeeping needs. 

As a QuickBooks Online Advanced ProAdvisor®, her mission is to ensure the highest quality and accuracy in bookkeeping and to create statements and reports with truly meaningful content. Elspeth enjoys working with self-employed and small-business clients to ensure their bookkeeping is tidy, is up to date, and flows seamlessly into their tax documents. 

Strong on follow-through and skilled in process scheduling, management consulting, Microsoft Excel, account and data management, and office administration, Elspeth has a comfort with people and information technology that allows her to adapt quickly and to understand the needs of rapidly changing industries. 

Elspeth earned the Enrolled Agent credential in March of 2020.  An enrolled agent is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Enrolled agents, like attorneys and certified public accountants (CPAs), are generally unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can represent clients before.  

She works continuously to keep her knowledge fresh and to build on that knowledge with new courses, classes, and seminars. She guides her education for the best service to current clients so she can be there for you. 

Not only is Elspeth currently working toward QuickBooks® Desktop certification but she’ll also begin studying this summer for the Series 65 securities license. The course will culminate in the Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination, which qualifies individuals to provide investing and general advice to clients as a qualified Investment Advisor Representative (IARs). 

Elspeth holds a BA in Latin American studies focused in Spanish linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles. She maintains functional Spanish proficiency.

Anna has a passion for accuracy and excellence.  

When asked what she enjoys about this role, she says, "I want to ensure our clients don't get taken advantage of—that their bills are correct and they aren't getting overcharged.” 

As a bookkeeper for several of our business clients, Anna pushes for 100% accuracy. "If there's a penny missing, I want to find it." That attention to detail and spirit of excellence drive our high-quality value.

As Chief Operating Officer, Phil's primary role is to ensure InConcert Financial Group® continues to provide exceptional client service and support in all practice areas.  

Phil also leads our human resources consulting department, helping small businesses with employment law compliance. He often acts as a virtual HR manager, onboarding employees, navigating state audits and real-time employee issues, writing employee manuals, and ensuring compliance with the ever-changing employer laws. 

human resource professional for more than 30 years, Phil’s depth of experience includes organizational strategy, human resources analysis, sales management, and operational management for a large, multinational manufacturing and distribution company. After serving as an Air Force air combat crewman, as a law enforcement officer, and at the famous Air Force Survival School, Phil earned his bachelor's degree in organizational behavior from the University of San Francisco. 

In his spare time, Phil is very active in the community. He currently serves as a commissioner for the City of Martinez's Veterans Commission. For more than 25 years, he has coached hundreds of local high school, club, and house-team athletes, and he recently retired from serving as the Alhambra High School women’s varsity lacrosse coach. Depending on the season, Phil can be found riding in fundraising bike tours, sailing, kayaking, skiing, or hiking. He also rolls a mean game of bocce with the largest Bocce Federation in North America on Thursday nights in Martinez.
